RUIDOSO NEW MEXICO BIKE TRAIL INFORMATION AND MAPS
SURFACE ROADS IN RUIDOSO AND LINCOLN COUNTY
Ruidoso and the Lincoln County roads immediately surrounding our
Village are generally in very good condition with good shoulder areas to
ride. Also, as we are a small rural community we typically have light
traffic in town and very light traffic as you venture out n any direction.
THE BILLY THE KID SCENIC HIGHWAY LOOP
Billy the Kid is in south-central New Mexico nearly 50 miles west of
Roswell. The byway forms a loop drive beginning and ending in Hondo.
It is 68 miles long and follows US 380, NM 48, and US 70. The roads are
two-lane paved roads suitable for all types of vehicles. Billy the Kid is open
year-round and makes for some excellent road biking.
LINCOLN NATIONAL FOREST BIKE TRAILS
The Smokey Bear District has some challenging trails to conquer literally
just minutes from Midtown Ruidoso. Great climbs and downhills right in the
National Forest provides a great full day of riding.
FORT STANTON BLM RECREATION AREA BIKE TRAILS
Over 60 miles of trails await you about 20 minutes northeast of Ruidoso.
Great vistas of the Sacramento and Capitan ranges stretch on for miles.
